We are pleased to offer a fantastic publishing opportunity for our early-career HSA members.
Our 2023 conference Futures of Housing Justice explored the theme of housing justice and equity, examining current issues in our housing sectors and what we can do to make access to housing fairer for all. The conference was a platform to examine our traditional understandings and approaches to housing, and to explore, promote and mobilise around effective and progressive solutions to current problems.
Following on from a successful event, the team at Social Sciences have invited us to collaborate to develop a special issue based on our 2023 conference. The conference organisers Gareth Young, Adele Irving and Helen Taylor will act as the Editorial team for this issue and are inviting expressions of interest from those whose papers were presented at the conference. We are particularly interested in publishing and sharing research that relates to methodological innovation and under-researched topics and groups.
The criteria set by the journal is that all contributors hold a PhD, but the HSA recognises that innovative work is done by Early Career Researchers. The criteria for this issue, therefore, is that authors are working towards a PhD. Potential authors must be current members of the HSA and the papers submitted must have been presented at the conference.
If you are interested in expressing an interest in this member offer, please send the below information to our Chair Helen Taylor ([email protected])
- Paper title (this can be a revision from the conference paper, but must still be substantively the same content that was presented)
- Author(s) name
- Author(s) contact information and affiliated institution
- Do you meet the outlined criteria?
