After more than three decades at the forefront of housing research, education, and practice, the Housing Studies Association is proud to embrace a bold new transformation that reflects who we are today, and where we are headed next.
Since our founding in 1991, the Housing Studies Association has been dedicated to creating a space where researchers, students, policymakers, and practitioners can come together to share knowledge, challenge ideas, and advance housing studies. We have grown into the leading learned society for housing, embracing a dynamic and diverse community that spans disciplines, professions, and borders.
Now, we are entering a new chapter.
Our new brand identity has been carefully developed to communicate the core values that define us and reflects our evolution from a small forum for exchange into a vibrant and interdisciplinary network, united by a shared commitment to better housing futures for all.
Our mission remains the same: to advance housing-related research, education, and practice. But our new look speaks to the energy, innovation, and collaboration that underpin everything we do.
The Housing Studies Association continues to bring together people across a wide range of academic and professional fields, from economics, geography, psychology, and sociology, to law, architecture, and social policy. What unites our members is a belief in the power of research and evidence to improve housing-related systems and outcomes.
Our bold new look comes alongside an exciting expansion of opportunities for engagement, including the launch of new member networks, such as the Early Career Researcher Network (ECRN), as well as new member grades, and initiatives designed to connect research, policy, and practice while supporting scholars at every stage of their career.
We invite you to explore our refreshed website, learn more about our community, and get involved in shaping the future of housing studies.
