Rosie Smith is a Research Fellow in the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research at Sheffield Hallam University. She is a quantitative researcher and works primarily on projects focusing on housing provision, affordability and supply, and housing and health initiatives.
Rosie completed her PhD in Social Policy at the University of Lincoln in 2019. Her PhD thesis focused on how housing tenure interacted with public attitudes to welfare.
She previously worked as a quantitative Research Fellow at the University of Leeds and the University of Nottingham on projects using government education data. She has worked on projects funded by the ESRC Data Initiative and with funding partners such as the Nuffield Foundation, the Department for Education and the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.
