We're thrilled to announce that registration for #HSA2025 is officially open! We’ve got early-bird rates, and as an HSA member, you can access exclusive discounts on conference registration fees.

Our workshop sessions will address broader housing issues, including, but not limited to, topics around homelessness, dynamics in housing systems, the private rented sector, the financialisation of housing, retrofit, developments in housing theory, and tenant participation in social housing.

Registration Benefits:

• Early-Bird Rates: Secure your tickets at discounted rates by registering early. Our early-bird rates end on 21st February 2025.
• Special HSA Member Discounts: Enjoy reduced rates as an HSA member – members can access a substantial discount on registration fees. Click here for more information on becoming a member.
• Additional Discounts for ECRs and Voluntary Sector Members: To support wider participation at the conference, further discounts are available for Early Career Researchers and those from the voluntary/third sector.

Conference Details:

• Dates: Face-to-face sessions will be held in Sheffield from 14th to 16th April, with online activity from 14th to 30th April 2024.

Fees

Members of the Housing Studies Association get discounted rates on our events and conferences. We have also put in place an Early Career Researcher (ECR) discounted rate to provide support to ECRs to attend the conference.

Financial Support

The Housing Studies Association is committed to supporting Early Career Researchers, Students, and others in attendance at the Annual Conference. Find out more about our Bursary Scheme.

Refund policy

If an attendee is unable to attend the conference for any reason they may substitute, by arrangement with the conference organisers, someone else to attend in their place.

Where the attendee is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer their place to another person or to another event, then the following refund arrangements apply:

Authors

• Registrations cancelled more than 60 days before the event are eligible for an 80% refund of the registration fees paid.
• Registrations cancelled less than 45 days, but more than 20 days before the event are eligible for a 50% refund of the registration fees paid.
• Registrations cancelled less than 20 days before the event are no longer eligible for a refund.

Non-authors

• Registrations cancelled more than 10 working days before the event are eligible for a refund of the registration fees paid, less £25 administration charge.
• No refunds are available for cancellations made within 10 working days of the event.
