The Healthy Homes Research Network (HHRN) is a new initiative under the Housing Studies Association, designed to bring together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers with a shared interest in the relationship between housing and health.

As part of the HSA’s member offer for member networks, this group aims to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and drive forward research that supports healthier homes for all.

Any member of the HSA can join the HHRN, and members can expect the following:

  • Events: we will host a series of highly focused events throughout the year, exploring key issues at the intersection of housing and health. These events will provide opportunities to explore the latest research on specific topics and for colleagues to share emerging research in a friendly environment.
  • Collaborative opportunities: The network is a vibrant platform that encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration, enabling members to work with others on research projects, policy initiatives, and community-focused solutions. Whether you’re an academic, housing professional, urban designer, or health professional, the network will offer you a space to share ideas, learn from others, and co-create innovative solutions. We're excited to see the unique contributions you can bring to our collaborative efforts.
  • Support for your work: If you’re working on a housing-related health issue, the network can provide a supportive environment for discussion, feedback, and the sharing of best practices. Additionally, we aim to help members raise the profile of their work within the wider community of housing and health professionals.

The Healthy Homes Research Network is a dynamic space for those passionate about improving health outcomes through better homes.
