- Writing style/clarity
- Engagement with literature and theory
- Methods
- Empirical rigor/theoretical depth

The prize involves a £100 Waterstone's gift card and certificate and this is presented each year at the HSA annual conference. All Early Career Researchers who are HSA members are welcome and encouraged to submit a paper for consideration for the prize so if you are reading this and interested in applying for 2021 then have a look at our website for more information.
