The UK faces a rapidly ageing population who require housing that enables their health and well-being. In early 2018 the CLG committee concluded that a new strategy was needed for older people’s housing. The strategy, it argued, should not just support new older people’s housing, but support elderly households’ decision making process through information and advice about the range of options from general needs housing through specialist housing to care homes.
The speakers will reflect on these issues on 15th November and take questions from the audience. There will be a drinks reception following the lecture and an opportunity to network with Housing Studies Association members and guests.
