The University of Stirling are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Fellow to work on a study entitled ‘Working Together: improving housing outcomes for the ex-Forces community’. The study is funded by the Forces in Mind Trust We are seeking an experienced Research Fellow to play a key role in the project team and be able to lead most elements of the work independently.
The Fellow will be centrally involved in all aspects of the study including qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis and reporting. The role will necessitate building good relationships and ongoing communication with project partners, Housing Options Scotland, research participants and advisory group members. The successful candidate will ideally have completed a PhD in a relevant social science subject (or demonstrate equivalent professional experience). Experience of mixed-methods research, as well as excellent planning, organisational and communication skills are vital.
The post is a fixed term contract for 18 months and is full-time. The role will be based at the University of Stirling and will require travel for fieldwork across the UK. Experience of working with members of the services/ex-services community or other groups facing particular housing and support needs is essential.
