EVENT Homelessness in Great Britain: Taking the Long View

Tuesday 9th February 2016
Afternoon Session: 12.30pm – 5pm
Evening Session: 5pm – 7.30pm

The event will take place in Cardiff University’s Glamorgan Building, King Edward VII Avenue

Cardiff University’s School of Geography and Planning and Shelter share their 50th anniversaries in 2016.

Together with Shelter Cymru, which marks its 35th anniversary, this event aims to take the long view on homelessness in Great Britain. The event will look back at 50 years of homelessness policy, it will examine contemporary concerns, and it will look towards the challenges on the horizon in the UK, Europe and from a global perspective.
We have confirmed speakers from Cardiff University, Heriot Watt University, York University, Garden Court Chambers, Shelter, Shelter Cymru, FEANTSA, Depaul International, and Gritty Productions.

The event includes a photographic exhibition of street homelessness across the globe by world-renowned photographer Andrew McNeill.
