Drs Kim McKee, Tom Moore and Prof. Duncan Maclennan, will be hosting an ESRC funded seminar at the University on the 13-14th March 2014. This is the final of three seminars in the Big Society, Localism and Housing Policy series, and follows on from previous successful events in Belfast and Sheffield. The St Andrew’s two-day seminar will have a specific focus on issues relating to co-operative and mutual housing, as well as the changing face of the social rented sector in an era of fiscal austerity and public sector cuts. The programme includes speakers from across policy, practice and academia, as well as from different parts of the UK, in order to reflect policy variances across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. As well as engaging with key policy debates the seminar also has wider relevance and connects with broader debates around localism, citizenship and welfare reform.
For more information, or to register for the event, please see the project website. The event is free to attend, but places are limited.
